Pointers, Tips, and Suggestions
We do not guarantee that we will be able to answer
all your questions. We recommend that you do the following in order to find the
information you are looking for :
1. Carefully and thoroughly peruse (browse) through our directory.
2. Read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) web page.
3. Use our expanded search engine forms to
find pages that have links in the WWWVL: Anthropology and other web sites in the WWW
pertaining to your questions or interests.
4. Join an anthropology mailing list or listserv. Listservs provide a
wonderful way for you to post questions and concerns, which are read by many professional
anthropologists and archaeologists. You can find a directory of listservs, mailing lists,
usenets, and newsgroups in our Discussion Forums
section.
5. Post your question at Ask Jeeves ( http://www.aj.com ). Ask Jeeves is an awesome source of
information on any topic, including anthropology.
6.As a last resort, fill
out our Contact Form. Please allow 48 - 72 hours for a
reply. You should be aware that we receive on average about twenty messages
per day. We do not have enough time to answer all requests, but we will do our best
to address your questions and concerns in a timely manner.

This option allows you to rate resources listed in our Directory on a scale from 1-10.
(1- lowest score, 10- highest score)
- Review Link [ Review It! ]
This option allows you to submit reviews of Links located in our directory. You can also
read reviews submitted by other visitors and send them comments via email or post a reply
to their reviews.
- Send Link [ Send Link! ]
This option allows you to recommend resources to friends. You can send URLs by
clicking on the Recommend Link links and then fill out a short form.
How our Directory is Organized?
Links in Categories are listed in the following manner:
1) New Sites
2) Most Email Recommendations via our Send Link feature
3) Most Nominations via our Nominate Site feature
4) Most Popular via number of votes and ratings
5) Site of the Month awarded sites
6) Alphabetical
Links in the Top Visited Sites page
are listed by total number of hits. Links in the Top Rated Sites
page are listed by votes and ratings.

ratings given by web visitors. Here are explanations of the rating scale:

Note: Our directory is
updated four times a day (1:00, 6:00, 13:00, and 20:00 EST) via Crontab. These
updates include revisions to hits per link, ratings, and new sites added.
Once a week our directory is checked for moved and outdated links with two processes: 1)
LWP - CGI Module and 2) WebTrends Log Analyzer - Third Party Software program.
